GOD
God is Creator. He has made all things. His original creation was perfect. No violence, sickness, nor death existed in God's world. God is holy & righteous. He always acts consistently with his perfect character, and as God, He has the authority to define what is "right" & what is "wrong".
MAN
Mankind is the pinnacle of God's creation. All people are created in God's image. We were created to reflect the perfect character of God. Unfortunately, our first parents, Adam and Eve, rebelled against God in the perfect world He had made. This rebellion is called "sin." Every person who came after them is also a sinner, by nature and by choice. Since God is holy, He must judge sin and sinners. The ultimate judgment will be separation from God in a place called hell for all eternity.
CHRIST
Thankfully, God loves people and has a plan to rescue them from His own just judgment. God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to save sinners. Jesus, being both fully God and fully man, stands as the One uniquely qualified to be our sin. Jesus lived a perfect life to earn righteousness for us. Then, He died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin. Three days later He rose from the dead, conquering sin and death. One day, He will return to earth as Judge.
RESPONSE
What should our response be to the good news that Jesus has lived and died for us? We should turn away from our sinfulness (repentance) and turn to Jesus (faith). By trusting in Jesus to save you, and not relying on any work of your own, God will count you as righteous. Eternal life will be your destiny.
